This scene is from the front of the Franklin Conservatory in Columbus, OH The interior is filled with plants from all over the world. My daughter wanted her engagement photos here because it is so lovely.
Gasthof Hirschen...oil on canvas...25"x 29.5"...sold
Interlaken is a jewel in the Swiss alps and the Gasthoff Hirschen made it a very enjoyable stay. The feather beds were wonderful and according to the internet the inn is still operating. It has been in operation since the 1600's and is a wonderful memory for me as well as a charming place to stay.
You can see the glacier Jungfrau from the balcony in the painting.
